“It’s a low trust marketing world”
I recently read an article that made this statement which has prompted me to explore and write on it. So, what do you think is this your feeling also?
For the purpose of beginning to write as a blogger I agree which is why in my 15 years as a Coach I can count on my fingers the times I have formerly advertised and marketed to the public
As I researched my options wanting success in my coaching practice I considered which avenues of advertising and marketing would serve my business the best and align with my values. As I considered this I reviewed my own purchase practices and satisfactions or not with my trigger happy self in purchasing. It was not long before I came to the conclusion that I myself had become a sour consumer of products that I had purchased promising a lot and delivering little.
My diverse personal and professional life experience whether it was on the front line in the banking industry, the production line in a factory, the health food or consignment store I had worked in all supported my education in best marketing and advertising practices. I also often heard and saw the same dissatisfaction and low trust that many had in the mainstream and conventional marketing world.
When I came to start my own business the most important factor for me was developing integrity and trust in all my workings with everyone I met whether in the health food store I was a clerk in or the clients I began to serve in my own business. Advertising and marketing was always secondary to me as it seemed like a sterile environment and not optimal for the mission I had in mind of healing the planet one person at a time.
Fostering trust building strong relationships was and is still a priority. This I felt could be best achieved by ensuring my own standards and professionalism would be an attraction factor to my ideal clients and in being so I would not ever need to sell my products or service.
My focus on this mission and intention has indeed proven that I had embraced a worthwhile way of being since 95% of my clients come to me through referrals or due to the results they have seen in others or direct conversation with me.
So it is that I have never had an interest in blogging until recently. Since I am blessed with much diversity in my work already I have noticed a growing inner clarity and awareness of the parts of myself that need to be more fully self-expressed, This longing to write has arrived and the time is now to birth this new way of being.
I have begun to blog also since an aspect of the process in my coaching practice that I have created encourages full self-expression. As well I know it’s time that I step into the wider arena of articulating, sharing, writing and exploring my written word. Both for my own growth and for the spiritual offering it may be to those who find value and support in it.
I hope my blog will be of service to your journey as well and in turn assist your intuition when it comes to renewing trust in the new Marketing industry.
